IRMCA presents the Carl D. Franks Award to Raymond McVeigh
INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Ready Mixed Concrete Association (IRMCA) presented its prestigious 2018 Carl D. Franks Award to Raymond McVeigh, executive director of the Great Lakes Cement Promotions Council Inc. The award recognizes outstanding efforts and ability in marketing ready mixed concrete in Indiana by a member of the Portland Cement Industry and was presented during the annual IRMCA Short Course Program. Established in 1985, the award is named in honor of Carl D. Franks, a native of Indiana who devoted his professional career to promoting concrete.
McVeigh has been involved in the cement and concrete industry in Indiana for more than 30 years. During that time he has been the executive director of various organizations responsible for promoting the use of cement products. Those organizations directly support the IRMCA producers marketing and sales efforts.
McVeigh is a graduate of Michigan State University with a degree in economics and a law degree from Boston College Law School.
Great Lakes Cement Promotion Council, Inc. (GLCPC) is a Michigan nonprofit corporation that promotes the use of Portland cements, masonry cements and concrete products. GLCPC is active in the states of Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin.
