OUTSTANDING CONCRETE ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
Presented to Cook, Inc. in Bloomington, Indiana

The Indiana Ready Mixed Concrete Association (IRMCA) presented the 2007 Outstanding Concrete Achievement Awards for projects in the State of Indiana on December 11, 2007 at the Indianapolis East Marriott.

In the category of Concrete Commercial & Industrial Projects: Commercial Building Projects, Cook, Inc. won for their Corporate Office, located in Bloomington.

The project team is the owner/developer: Cook, Inc. the Engineering firm: Silver Creek Eng., the Architectural firm: GSR, the General contractor: Building Assoc. the concrete finisher: Lawson & Eller/South Central Form, and the ready mix producer: Irving Materials, Inc.

The warehouse and building totals over 200,000 square feet and much of it was built during the night so as not to interrupt normal business at Cook. This was a continuation of the Cook Campus. This addition was the final building to make the entire building symmetrical. Cook is a medical Equipment manufacturer and this building was used for Underground parking and office space. It was completed over the time span of ten months with a total of 9,000 cubic yards being used on this project.

IRMCA presents these awards to recognize extensive application or imaginative use of concrete; and to honor the accomplishments of project owners, architects, engineers, contractors, owners and ready mixed concrete producers.
