OUTSTANDING CONCRETE ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
Presented to Mahlon Miller Residence in Bremen, Indiana

The Indiana Ready Mixed Concrete Association (IRMCA) presented the 2007 Outstanding Concrete Achievement Awards for projects in the State of Indiana on December 11, 2007 at the Indianapolis East Marriott.

In the category of Concrete Residential Projects: Other, the Mahlon Millers won for their residence located in Bremen.

This project team for the Mahlon Miller project are the owners: Mahlon Miller, the General Contractor: John Mast Construction, the Concrete Finisher: Benders Constructing, Inc. and the Ready Mix Producer: Aggregate Industries.

The project was used to support the weight of RV traffic. The integrity of the drive was a must, leaving only one choice: concrete. With the sharp turning radius, concrete was used for the driveway to prevent rutting in the corners of the drive with durability for years to come. This is an icon for the use of concrete at a residential level. Traffic and routine passer byers stop to look at the beauty of the project. This also will be used for years to come to gather ideas for future residential paving and home construction. Approximately 636 cubic yards of concrete were used in this project.

IRMCA presents these awards to recognize extensive application or imaginative use of concrete; and to honor the accomplishments of project owners, architects, engineers, contractors, owners and ready mixed concrete producers.
