In the category of Concrete Commercial & Industrial, Public/Institutional, one of the winning projects is the Plainfield Community Schools Transportation Facility. Recipients included the following individuals and/or organizations: Plainfield Community Schools, Lynch, Harrison & Brumleue, Mussett, Nicholas & Associates, Patterson Horth, R.M.P. Concrete, Inc., and Builder's Concrete & Supply, Inc.

The Plainfield Community Schools elected to go with ready-mix concrete for the transportation facility, in lieu of asphalt, due to maintenance costs. Ready-mix concrete was not only placed in the bus parking areas, but in all of the heavy traffic areas as well. The concrete contractor placed the majority of this 4,000 plus cubic yards parking area in 500 cubic yard pours with a vibratory screed. These six pours and other smaller pours were completed in just 18 days.
