RCC Applied as SR 25 Shoulder

Delphi – On the morning of Tuesday, August 27th, the concrete industry in Indiana took a major step forward with the application of roller compacted concrete (RCC).  INDOT approved a trail application on the shoulder of the newly constructed SR 25 connecting Logansport to Ft. Wayne to Toledo.  E & B Paving paved the material with Irving Materials, Inc. providing the material.  After a brief presentation, the crowd of some 100 people headed to the job site and watched the material go down at about 20 feet a minute.  3850 ft of shoulder was paved and will be closely monitored by INDOT, Purdue, and the industry as a whole moving forward.

A special thanks to the Indiana Chapter-ACPA, INDOT, Delphi United Methodist Church, Irving Materials, Inc., E & B Paving, Purdue, and JTRP.
