Together, these leaders represent decades of experience across concrete production, materials supply, logistics, construction management, and business leadership. Their collective knowledge ensures that the association continues to represent the full breadth of Indiana’s ready mixed concrete industry.
Since its founding in 1943, the Indiana Ready Mixed Concrete Association has served as the voice of the ready mixed concrete industry throughout the state. What began as a group of producers working together to strengthen their industry has grown into a statewide association representing approximately 95% of Indiana’s ready mixed concrete production.
Over the decades, the IRMCA has played an important role in advancing concrete technology, supporting education and workforce development, and advocating for policies that promote safe, durable infrastructure.
At the center of that work has always been the leadership of the association’s Board of Directors. Generations of industry professionals have served in board roles, helping guide the association through periods of growth, technological change, and evolving construction practices. Today’s board continues that tradition of leadership, ensuring that the association remains a valuable resource for members and a respected voice for the industry.
Board service within the IRMCA represents a significant investment of time and energy. Directors participate in strategic planning, support association programs, and help guide decisions that affect member companies across the state.
These roles are not honorary titles. Board members bring practical industry experience into every discussion and decision, drawing on years of firsthand knowledge in areas such as plant operations, materials science, fleet management, project coordination, and regulatory compliance. This experience helps ensure that IRMCA initiatives reflect the real world needs of member companies and the broader construction community.
Serving on the board also creates opportunities for collaboration among industry leaders. When producer members and associate members share the same table, they exchange ideas, discuss challenges, and identify solutions that strengthen the industry as a whole.
The relationships formed through board service often extend beyond the association itself, contributing to stronger partnerships across Indiana’s construction and infrastructure sectors.
The IRMCA Board of Directors helps guide many of the programs and initiatives that support the association’s members and promote the use of ready mixed concrete throughout the state.
These activities include:
The board also plays a key role in guiding IRMCA events and programs that bring members together to share knowledge and strengthen professional relationships.
One recent example is the Developing Concrete Leaders program, recognized during the 2026 IRMCA Winter Mixer. Developed under the board’s guidance and delivered in partnership with the IU Indianapolis Kelley School of Business and the Tobias Leadership Center, the program helps emerging industry professionals build leadership and management skills.
Programs like this reflect the board’s commitment to supporting not only today’s industry leaders but also the professionals who will shape the future of concrete in Indiana.
Indiana’s construction landscape continues to evolve. Infrastructure investment, advances in materials technology, and growing demands for sustainable construction practices are shaping the future of the ready mixed concrete industry. The IRMCA Board of Directors plays an important role in helping the association and its members navigate these changes.
The association is currently developing a 10-year strategic plan focused on strengthening member services, supporting workforce development, and continuing to promote the value of concrete throughout the state. The leadership and insight of the board will be essential as this vision takes shape.
By bringing together professionals from across the industry, the board helps ensure that IRMCA remains responsive to both current challenges and future opportunities.
Beyond strategic planning and governance, the IRMCA Board of Directors also plays an important role in strengthening the sense of community within the industry.
Board members often serve as ambassadors for the association in their regions, connecting with contractors, engineers, public officials, and community leaders. Their work helps promote the benefits of concrete construction and supports collaboration across the broader construction sector.
This spirit of cooperation has always been one of the defining characteristics of the IRMCA. The association’s success is built on the relationships among its members and the shared commitment to advancing the industry. The leadership of the board helps ensure that those relationships continue to grow.
Industry associations are strongest when the professionals within them are willing to contribute their time, experience, and leadership for the benefit of the entire industry. Serving on the IRMCA Board of Directors represents that commitment.
Board members are not only leaders within their own companies, they are also stewards of the broader ready mixed concrete industry in Indiana. Their service helps ensure that the association remains responsive to the needs of its members while continuing to advocate for concrete as a durable, reliable, and sustainable construction material.
By volunteering their time, board members help shape the programs, partnerships, and initiatives that support the industry today and prepare it for the future. They bring valuable insight into discussions around workforce development, industry education, and the promotion of concrete solutions for infrastructure projects across the state.
Their leadership also helps strengthen collaboration among producers, suppliers, engineers, contractors, and policymakers who all play a role in building Indiana’s communities.
Ultimately, board service is about giving back to an industry that supports thousands of jobs and plays a vital role in the construction of the state’s roads, bridges, schools, hospitals, and commercial developments. The willingness of industry professionals to step forward and serve is one of the reasons the IRMCA continues to be a strong and respected voice for ready mixed concrete in Indiana.
The Indiana Ready Mixed Concrete Association extends its sincere appreciation to the 2026 IRMCA Board of Directorsfor their willingness to serve and for the leadership they bring to the organization.
Through their dedication, experience, and commitment to the industry, these individuals help ensure that the IRMCA remains a strong advocate and resource for ready mixed concrete producers, suppliers, and partners across Indiana.
