As the association continues to grow and evolve, so too must our traditions. Beginning in 2026, the Short Course will take on a new name, the: IRMCA Winter Mixer.

The new name reflects not only the season when the event is held but also the true spirit of the gathering, with mixing knowledge, ideas, and people together. By rebranding to the IRMCA Winter Mixer, the association is embracing a forward-looking vision that speaks to innovation, community, and professional development, while continuing to honor the legacy of this long-running event.
Member-Driven Rebrand
The IRMCA Winter Mixer name was submitted by Joe Sanders, Executive Vice President of Ozinga and former IRMCA President. Members were invited to share their ideas for renaming the event, underscoring the association’s commitment to keeping members at the heart of its mission. Joe’s winning entry captures both the technical and social value of the event: a place where industry professionals come together to strengthen their expertise and connections.

The IRMCA Winter Mixer will continue to provide the hallmarks that members value most: Comprehensive education sessions; industry-leading speakers; networking opportunities; and updates on safety, advocacy, and innovation.
